One of ChromeBook Laptop, a laptop with Chromium OS intalled, which has been released to the market is Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook. This ChromeBook laptop said as the first netbook that use the Chromium OS. Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook designed at 12-inch thin and light laptop. Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook specs are: powered by Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor (1.66 GHz) and Intel integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 graphical card which paired with 2GB DDR3 RAM. Samsung Series 5 3G Chromebook Titan Silver (with 3G and WiFi) price in Amazone is offered at $499.99. While Samsung Series 5 Wi-Fi Chromebook Arctic White (only with WiFi) price in Amazone is offered at $429.99. Rewiew on Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook hardware specs show that it falls with other netbook installed with common OS like Windows. HP Pavilion DM1z (price at $449) which equipped with AMD E350 APU is more powerfull. The most critisized is its OS. Chrome OS is not yet mature as an operating system.

Chromium OS is Chrome browser improved to function as an operating system. This OS boot time is so fast, it boot in 8 seconds and can resume instantly. Chrome OS integrates Google's web-based services at very good level. Some of those service provided are: Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, and Wave. But this integration is possible in any system (Windows, Mac, and Linux) that uses Google Chrome browser. Hence, Chromium OS doesn't offer 'real new solution'. As another deficiency, some user reports that they found problem in printing. A review by Notebook Review concludes that it's just "a browser in a box". In the other words it just only a paperweight if you lose Wi-Fi or 3G access.  Chromebook's reliance on Internet access, since Chrome OS relies on cloud computing. Finally Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook is a brilliant concept that might one day replace traditional laptops, but it's just not the best solution for most people at this time.

Opting for Intel netbook processor at now is not good solution for netbook anymore. Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook only equipped with 16GB SSD (SanDisk SDSA4DH-016G NAND flash). Fortunetelly this netbook is equipped with Chiclet-style keyboard and awesome matte (anti-glare) screen.
